Activities: J&L Paris is a cultural agency specialized in private tours in Paris, in France and beyond.

2. Purpose
The purpose of these general sales conditions is to set out the terms and conditions granting access to the services offered by J&L Paris.
Consequently, any order made by the client (the “Client”) implies the unreserved agreement and full acceptance of these general terms and conditions, which take over any other document, except under conditions expressly agreed to in writing by J&L Paris.
They may be modified by J&L Paris at any time without prior notice. If a new version of these terms and conditions is published, these latter shall not apply to bookings previously accepted and confirmed by J&L Paris.
The applicable terms and conditions of a booking are those present on the Website at the time of booking.
The present terms and conditions are effective as of June 2016, 20th.
3. Booking request
The Client can select his tour(s) on the “Book now” page or on each tour page directly.
The Client can also make directly his booking request at the following address : contact@jl-paris.com.
4. The order (payment / confirmation)
To proceed with the booking of his order (the “Order”), the Client has to consider the following steps:
STEP 1 – TOUR
→ Selection of the tour: The Client selects the tour among the tours in the list (“Selected tour“).
→ Selection of the number of people
→ Selection of the day of the Selected tour: The Client selects his preferred day.
To confirm his selection, the Client clicks on the “Next” Button.
STEP 2 – TIME
→ Selection of the time slot: In accordance with the proposed available dates, the Client selects his preferred time slot.
If the Client can’t select his preferred date or time slot, the latter can contact directly the agency to know if an alternate solution can be offered : contact@jl-paris.com.
To confirm his date (“Selected date“) and his time slot, the Client clicks on the “Next” Button.
STEP 3 – DETAILS
To proceed with the booking, the Client provides his contact details, his preferences and comments.
To confirm his details, the Client clicks on the “Next” Button.
STEP 4 – CART
The Client controls his cart (the “Cart“). The Cart summarizes all details of the Selected tour (number of people, date, time slot, Selected tour and price).
The Client can book another tour by clicking on the “BOOK MORE” button. To return on his Cart, the Client can click on the Cart button at any time.
To confirm his Cart, the Client clicks on the “Next” Button.
STEP 5 – PAYMENT
The Agency accepts the following means of payment:
– Paypal: If the Client selects this option, the latter is redirected on the Paypal website page to proceed with the payment;
– Credit carts (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover): via the secure payment system provided by STRIPE. The Client must enter his credit card numbers, the expiration date and the security number ( 3 digit numbers on the back of the card).
The Agency uses the secure payment system STRIPE that integrates the security protocol SSL (Secure Socket Layer). The confidential data (bank card numbers, expiration date and security code) are encrypted and transmitted directly to the STRIPE server without ever passing through the Agency. The Agency does not has access, at any time and in any way, to the Client bank data.
To confirm his payment, the Client clicks on the “Next” Button.
By clicking on the “Next” button, the Client confirms his Order.
STEP 6 – SUMMARY
A message indicates the Booking is completed.
The Client receives, in the meantime, an email (sent to the indicated email address) with his Cart details and these General Sales Conditions.

5. Availability
The information on the availability of our tours are provided when placing the Order. In the event of unavailability of a Selected tour after placing the Order, J&L Paris undertakes to inform the Client by e-mail as soon as possible. The Client’s Order will be amended or canceled and the Client will be refunded directly to his bank card at the latest within ten (10) days from the payment by the Client.
The Client will send to the Agency his preferred option by email.
6. Meeting point and guide’s contact details
The agency will send separately to the Client the meeting point(s) and his guide’s contact details.
Once these details communicated, the Client is directly in contact with his guide. Nonetheless, the Client can contact J&L Paris at any time: contact us or booking@jl-paris.com.
7. Booking conditions for big groups
As indicated on the Website, if the Client is not able to select his preferred number of people in the list, that means it will be necessary to make reservations or prepare more specifically the tour of the Client.
The Client can contact the Agency to get a quotation: contact@jl-paris.
In such case, the Client considers the required delay(s) to book his tour(s).
The booking and payment process will be adapted in accordance with the Client request specificity.
8. Specific requests associated to a disability or any other difficulties
The Client is required to advice J&L Paris about any disability or difficulty which implies an adaptation of the Selected tour at the time of booking.
The Client can send his specific request on the box provided for the optional comments on the Booking request page (step 3) or directly via our contact form or by email : contact@jl-paris.com.
9. Tariffs
Prices are those in effect when they were elaborated.
Prices are indicated in Euros and include VAT and other taxes (all charges are included). They may be subject to revision at any time.
Prices vary according to the number of people per booking.
The indicated prices include the guide fees, the booking fees (“Booking fees“) (if any) and all charges for the whole group.
The potential Booking fees are those associated to the Selected tour (tickets, reservation fees, headsets fees, etc.).
An estimate is valid during 3 months. Once expired, the prices could be revised.
10. Order changes and cancellation
To change his Order (date, time slot, etc.), the Client can contact the Agency : contact@jl-paris.com. The Agency can not guarantee the possibility to change the Order but will do its best to find an alternate solution.
In any case, a cancellation request has to be made by writing to the Agency (“Order Cancellation”):
→ If the Order Cancellation occurs more than fifteen (15) days before the Selected date, all the amount paid by the Client will be refunded, except for the Booking fees incurred at the time of the Order Cancellation and paid by J&L Paris.
→ If the Order Cancellation occurs less than fifteen (15) days before the selected date, 30% of the amount paid by the Client will be retained in addition to the Booking fees incurred at the time of the Order Cancellation and paid by J&L Paris.
→ If the Order Cancellation occurs less than two (2) days before the Selected date, all the amount paid by the Client will be retained.
As for Booking fees, a voucher delivered by J&L Paris cannot be exchanged or resold.
Delays: if the Client is late the day of the tour, the guide waits for thirty (30) minutes before considering the Selected tour cancelled. In such case, the amount of the Order will be entirely due regardless the reason of this delay.
11. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L. 121-20-4 of French Consumer Code, the provision of accommodation, transportation, catering or leisure services that must be provided on a given date or according to a specific periodicity are not subject to the right of withdrawal.
12. Intellectual property rights
All photos that appear on the Website are held by J&L Paris or people who have granted their consent to publish such photos on the Website.
The persons who hold intellectual property rights on the medias available on this Website are designated by © in the photo credits (cf. please refer to the Legal notice) or directly under the photo.
J&L Paris does not assume any liability for the accuracy of any information provided on the Website. Documents containing descriptions, technical details (in particular times, dates, Booking fees and duration), photos, illustrations or any other information, is given only for information.
13. Personal data
In accordance with the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, the information requested on the contact form and booking form is necessary to process your Booking request.
J&L Paris respects the privacy of the Client and protects, in so far as possible, the information provided by the Client to J&L Paris.
You have a right to access, correct, or remove data relating to you by contacting J&L Paris: contact us or contact@jl-paris.com (the request has to be sent with a copy of the Client’s photo ID).
14. Cookies
Cookies may be installed automatically on the Client’s web browser. The Client has the right to access these cookies, withdraw it and make modifications of personal information that have been communicated. To delete cookies, the user must follow the instructions as described by their web browser.
15. J&L Paris liabilities
During the online sales process, J&L Paris is bound by an obligation of means. Its liability can not be held liable for damages resulting from the use of the Internet such as data loss, external intrusion, viruses, break service, or other problems beyond its control.
J&L Paris shall not be liable for any damages, material or immaterial, direct or indirect, that may arise from, or due to, the fault of the Client during the tour(s) covered by the Order.
Force majeure: No reimbursement could be requested by the Client if the Order Cancellation occurs due to any act, event or circumstance not reasonably within the control of J&L Paris including but not limited to war, terrorism, strikes in transportation systems, flood, museums, monuments, castles, hotel personnel, or air traffic controllers, issues with the Website and more generally with Internet, political instability or riots, any restrictions set out by the public authorities and any other extraordinary circumstances.
Each party will be responsible for any cost incurred as a result of such event.
16. Dispute
The present terms and conditions are subject to French law.
Any dispute arising from these terms and conditions and not resolved out of Court shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Paris.
If a conflict arise concerning these terms and conditions, the French version shall prevail over any translated version.
