Indeed, in France, the Property rights law code protects pieces of work whatever their content or if they fully deserve it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In spite of this, it doesn\u2019t refrain the repression. If the exhibition of an urinal by Marcel Duchamp<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0made people amused in its time, the exhibition of sliced dead animals by Damien Hirst didn\u2019t have the same consequences. Pretending\u00a0that an urinal, an inanimate, utilitarian and dirty object, is Art and pretending that a real cow shared in two with his veal is also Art has not the same impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Weather the Abstract Art was a revolution in Art\u2019s world, it\u2019s now the living things which are exhibited.\u00a0Hirst\u00a0dared to expose entrails in a museum and he is successful for this.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;60px&#8221;][vc_row_inner row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;30977&#8243; img_size=&#8221;300 \u00d7 467&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">Exhibition &#8220;Our Body&#8221;,\u00a0Gunther Von Hagen<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;60px&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In this case, it is fair to ask why the exhibition \u201cOur Body\u201d showing corpses was refused in Paris in 2009? Indeed, this exhibition was really successful in Tokyo in 1995, in all big cities in Europe (London, Berlin, Bruxelles, etc.) and France (Marseille, Lyon).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In Paris, few days after the\u00a0opening, the exhibition of 17 dissected corpses was forced to close by court decision. In case? A desecration of defunct bodies, arbitrary\u00a0colorations, an unrealistic staging and a lack of decency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Nonetheless, the purpose of the exhibition was not artistic but scientific. This exhibition was proposed by the German anatomist Doctor Gunther Von Hagen. The latter has revolutionized the\u00a0process of\u00a0embalming with the \u00ab\u00a0Plastination\u00a0\u00bb and this exhibition allowed people\u00a0to see or to study the different aspects of this technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Exhibiting dissected animals is right, but defunct bodies? No way! There\u00a0is\u00a0definitively a delicate balance between what is wrong and right, what is tolerated and not.\u00a0This is the human being, the moral and the decency in case here. Its role has changed. Besides, perhaps we become tolerant about taboos and things make us feel uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But if Art looses its aesthetic and moral purposes, what remains? A political purpose? A kind\u00a0of morbid entertainment to titillate\u00a0people?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Georges Rouault said \u00ab\u00a0Painting is only a way to forget life. A scream in the night. A missed sob.
